Key benefits include reduced muscle tension, improved circulation, enhanced joint mobility, and a significant decrease in stress hormones like cortisol. It’s also highly effective for managing chronic conditions like fibromyalgia or tension headaches.
No, you do not need a referral to book a session at Rene Health. However, we recommend checking with your extended health insurance provider, as some specific plans may require a referral for reimbursement.
Your initial appointment at Rene Health includes a comprehensive health history review and a physical assessment. This allows your therapist to identify the root cause of your discomfort before beginning the hands-on treatment.
While therapeutic techniques like deep tissue massage or trigger point therapy may cause some "good pain" or temporary discomfort, it should never be unbearable. Our RMTs maintain constant communication with you to ensure the pressure is within your comfort zone.
For maintenance and stress relief, once a month is often ideal. If you are recovering from a specific injury or managing chronic pain, your therapist might recommend weekly or bi-weekly sessions for a short period to accelerate healing.
